Full Name: Tomasz Ewertowski.
Major work experience: teaching Polish as a foreign language,research on the history of Polish and Serbian literature, teaching South Slavicliterature.
Major education experience: PhD in comparative Slavic literature,MA in Polish language and literature, MA in Serbian language and literature.
Areas of specialization: teaching Polish as a foreign language,history of Polish and Serbian literature.
Research interests: China in Polish and Serbian travel writing(from 18th till mid 20th century.
内容简介：
In the lecture we will analyze works ofCentral European authors, who were not descended from colonial empires, to seehow imperialist and orientalist discourse could have been transformed in thenon-Western European writings.Descriptions of China, given by representativesof Central European nations, which were not engaged in imperial politics, couldbe characterized by the formula of “a double strangeness”.
