主讲人：Prof. Jan van der Dussen
主讲人介绍: Jan van der Dussen (1940~) is Professor of History and Philosophy at Open University of the Netherlands. He did a master’s in both history and philosophy (1966, 1970) at the University of Leiden, and a PhD in philosophy at the same university in 1980. In 1983 he was a visiting scholar at University of Chicago on a Fulbright grant. In 1985-1986 he was a fellow at the Netherlands Institute of Advanced Studies at Wassenaar, and has held professorships at the University of Nijmegen, and the Open University of the Netherlands at Heerlen.
He was the editor of the revised edition of R.G. Collingwood’s The Idea of History (1993). His recent publications include ‘Collingwood’s Philosophy of History in the Year of his An Autobiography’(2013), ‘The Case for Historical Imagination: Defending the Human Factor and Narrative’ (2013), History as a Science: The Philosophy of R.G. Collingwood (2012), ‘William Herbert Dray. Obituary’ (2009), and ‘Collingwood’s Claim that History is a Science’ (2007), etc..
