主讲人介绍:
郑新民教授系香港大学应用语言学哲学博士（PhD），现为上海外国语大学国际教育学院教授、博士生导师，同时兼任中国英语教学研究会教师专业教育与发展委员会常务理事。郑教授的主要研究兴趣有外语教育、教育语言学、外语课程设置、外语教师专业发展、外语课堂教学、外语教师认知等。郑教授著有“Changing Pedagogy: Analyzing ELT Teachers in China”一书（London/New York:Continuum,2008）。David Nunan教授为该书作序，称该书对教学法理论做到有甄别、有批判、有发展，是对外语教学文献库的一个重要补充。郑教授在Language Teaching Research(SSCI)、SEAMEO Regional Language Center(RELC)、《外语教学与研究》、《外国语》、《外语界》、《外语电化教学》、《中国外语》、《外语教学理论与实践》、《外语与外语教学》、《外语研究》、《外语教学》、《外国语言文学》、《当代外语研究》、《中小学外语教学》等国内外学术刊物上发表学术论文近50篇。
内容简介：
Each PhD student seems to have a great idea for his/her research study. However, translating an idea into research questions that can be studied scientifically can be a challenging undertaking, especially if an individual is fairly new to research. The purpose of this seminar is to provide guidance on how to get through this important first step in completing your doctorate study. The seminar will include an interactive lecture followed by practical demonstrations and participation by the participants in order to enhance the audience’s understanding of the true value of asking good research questions.
